MINIS BLITZ RESULTS
Nine U11 girls took part today in the first of the Blitz days hosted by Grosvenor Hockey Club. As most of these girls had played last year they were keen to improve on last year’s performance and they did not disappoint!
In their opening game they netted 3 goals against Belfast Harlequins, winning 3-0 (Gracie Lamont, Emma Fowler x2).
In the second game the girls were unlucky when Portadown B slipped a goal into the net in the final minute.
This was followed by two draws with Tullyvallen, 1-1 (Gracie Lamont) and Grosvenor, 1-1 (Abby Aiken).
In their final game the girls came up against a very skilful Portadown A team. The U11s worked very hard but the Portadown forwards were on top form. Final score: South 0-4 Portadown A
A fantastic start for the U11 girls, with coaches and parents delighted with their performance today!!
